emily our state

When the Alamance County Visitor’s Center wanted to celebrate the year of the woman, they chose seven local entrepreneurs who have inspired Alamance County. We were honored (but not surprised) that one of the featured women was our own Emily! You can see her in this month’s Our State magazine, joined by Geniece Bey, LaShauna Austria, Angela Bobal, Debbie Stikeleather, Heather LaGarde, Janée Farrar, Sonya Weavil, Michelle Morton, and Susan Nelson Karreman.

From flowers to beer to guesthouses to art to food, shopping and eating local has never been better. If you’re in the neighborhood or these amazing businesses, stop by. Or even better, take a day and explore the best that Alamance County (and hey – all of our state!) has to offer.
