We’ve Moved Uptown!

Beechwood Metalworks
Beechwood Metalworks
Longtime customers know that when we first started Beechwood Metalworks, our shop was in our backyard. We had already outgrown the small facility, when we had a fire that destroyed just about everything we had. We truly believe that all things work together for good, however, and what should have been a disaster turned into an opportunity to expand our business into a large facility on Highway 62. Many of you made the trek to that location – and it was really a trek.

As we’ve continued to grow, we realized the need to have a store front that was open to the public on a regular basis. So when the owner of our old building decided to sell it, we began looking for a place that we could buy – and that you could visit more easily.

That’s when we found the old building on West Webb Avenue – a big warehouse sized structure with a large yard, plenty of parking, office space, loading docks, and a storefront area. Built in 1950, it originally was Levin Brothers’ Scrap. But it’s housed all sorts of things through the years: a coffin factory, a cabinetmaker, a fireplace insert manufacturer, and even Sears’ warehouse. We’ve been fascinated by how many people of so many ages have come in and told us, “I had my first job here.”

And we’re loving our new digs! We love the space. We love the ambiance of the restored building. Claire loves that it doesn’t take all day to get into town. And we all love the fact that instead of having a couple customers drop by in a week, we have several customers every day! It’s been a wonderful change for us.

Take a look at the pictures of the new Beechwood Metalworks location – or better yet – drop by! We’re open Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 5:00. You can find us uptown at 1139 West Webb Avenue in Burlington.

See you soon!
