Our Emily in Our State
When the Alamance County Visitor's Center wanted to celebrate the year of the woman, they chose seven local entrepreneurs who have inspired Alamance County. We were honored (but not surprised) that one of the featured women was our own Emily! You can see her in this month's Our State magazine, joined by Geniece Bey, LaShauna Austria, Angela Bobal, Debbie Stikeleather, Heather … [Read more...]
Founders Garden at Cook Children’s Hospital
Through the years, we've loved working with Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. We created a rooftop garden for their NICU unit. We crafted pieces that are in their prayer garden. We've spruced up their butterfly net. And they've crafted a Lego model of their hospital - including things we've made for them! On our most recent trip to Cook, we created a bench, and … [Read more...]
How We Created Custom Metal Bird Sculptures
These lovely birds were created to perch in a gazebo in a Doral, Florida neighborhood. To create them, we first made a model using jeweler's wax. Then we made a 3D scan for our CAD program. The design is scaled to make the cross sections that create the wooden "buck". The buck is a form - like a dress form - that we use to know how to shape the metal. We … [Read more...]

Making A Grand Entrance

The couple, who has 9 dogs and a large fenced yard area, was looking for a grand entrance piece to showcase the … [Read more...]

Art That Is Good Enough To Eat
When we say our projects are one-of-a-kind, we mean it. As custom metal fabricators, when one of our customers has a taste for something special, we toss around ideas until we concoct something that hits the spot perfectly. The latest fruit of our labor was cooked up for the Poe Center for Health Education in Raleigh, NC, an example of how our work can tempt you to eat right … [Read more...]
